Meeting of Atmospheric Plasma Processing

An atmospheric pressure plasma is generated by supplying electromagnetic energy such as radio frequency or microwave to gas phase.  The development and implementation of plasma technologies capable of tackling toxic pollutants resistant to widely established conventional methods are becoming an important area of research by increasing concern about environmental and health risks.  An atmospheric inductively coupled plasma (AICP) is generated by irradiating the quartz torch with high frequency at 100 MHz.  The contact reaction of AICP with waste water allows reducing the concentration of organic compounds.
